#1 Gotcha Day!

Oh, Hai!  Has it been one year already?!  Time flies when there's plenty of Tuna noms!

PATTY:  So here we are, one year later and we've only spent about $4,000 so far on our wonderful rescue kitty, aka Daffodil.  Day by day we get to know her a little better and day by day she comes to trust us a little more.  At present, she is drinking sardine water, all happy at the Daffy Buffet we have set up in the kitchen.

Sabryin commented on the lack of posts produced by Daffy and I explained that Bhu was eight years old when he had his first post . . . and THAT was accidental, after all.  It was supposed to be MY blog and he was a guest star; but it turned out he was more interesting than me.  I can't argue! 

What exactly have we come to discover about Daffy?  Well, first, we're pretty sure she is a Maine Coon:  her musical chirping, her fascination with moving water and her need to play with it, her magnificent muff and glorious belleh furs, and her absolutely stout, weighty body!  Second, we know she has feline asthma for which we have to give her a dose of meds every day ($28/month).  Third, she's a little too hefty to groom herself entirely and sometimes when she gets going she actually falls back producing a loud thud (she gives me stink eye when I giggle at her).  Sometimes it takes her two or three tries to jump up onto the bed from the floor.  And she sways when she walks and when she runs she gallops.
