The Day After

Beautiful graphic by Ann Adamus.  xoxo

Life is so different without Bhu: not so rich, not so fun. But this morning as I was making coffee I looked up out the window and saw big, huge, puffy white snowfluffs! A message from Bhu; he knew how much joy the first snowfall brings to me. He is saying to me, "It's okay mom; I'm good!"

Reading the comments on yesterday's post, I'm really challenged to find the best words to communicate just how grateful we are for your love and sympathy.  So many of you have gone through this at least once and you know the deep sadness.  I love that we have this community that cares and supports each of its members, human and feline (and canine).  xoxo Patty

Hello Patty! Like you I believe in our furbabies sending us 'messages' & it sounds like BHU did just that for you!!! Life is always different w/out our beloveds. Somehow things are quieter an the silence is deafening. I have had to say Goodbye to NYLABLUE; Mingflower; Pyewacket; Silky-Auburn; Muffin & Simpson. (There were others who I fostered or tried to help).
I started blogging on 360 with Mingflower in 2005. Joined WP August 2012 with Nylablue & found a 'forever' home! Nylablue went to the Bridge Nov. 2014 & I adopted Purrince Siddhartha Henry 3 weeks later.....Nylablue led me to him...I believe that. As Mingflower led me to Nylablue.
All our furbabies are precious & they look down on us.
I wished I had followed your blog & known BHU. he was a very handsome mankat.
Sending you (((hugs))) & blessings, Sherri-Ellen & Purrince Siddhartha Henry

Bhu was such a handsome guy and we loved reading about him. We will miss him. We have gone through this several times since we started blogging in 2005. Jan has been through it many more times over the years. It is never easy! A warm hug.

I do believe our loved ones send us signs and I am so glad you found comfort in the snow; I agree with Angel and Kirby=every snow fall will make you think of and feel close to your darling Bhu again...Love never dies and the energy of Bhu's love in your life will never leave you=he is a part of you forever...xoxo...J, Calle, Halle, Sukki, Mommy Cat

Dearest Bhu, I didn't meet you until today... now am sad to know you are over the rainbow bridge. I hope you meet my Spunky Boo Bear there who passed away at 19 years old in my arms. I taught Spunky many words, yet he learned my name on his own and used to call me 'Atrin (Katherine)

Spunky had a stroke, yet wouldn't go home, he was so bonded to me... I prayed over him and asked Jesus to take him in his arms... It was at that moment Spunky left this world in 2008.

Flash forward to 2015, when I came home just to find the kitten of an abandoned polydactyl calico had been run over in the street. I had only been gone less than an hour. I cried and called my vet, asking if I could bring them the body. As I got off the phone, I heard Spunky's voice saying, 'Atrin! - Spunky had come to escort the kitten home...
