Hey, you forgot Spring!

PATTY:  It's like this:  in the morning the heat goes on and then one day by noon you need the AC.  No in between.  And you never get used to it, either.  Every year we complain about the same thing, but our expectations never change:  we expect Spring sometime in April and May.  Mostly we get either winter or summer.

BHU:  That expektashun thing gets you efurry time, mom.  When you gonna learn?

PATTY:  Ahem.  Yes, well here we have a few photos of the morning so far at the Skypants B&B.  Clockwise from Top Left is close-up of Buddha Belleh Furz because they are so EXQUISITE!  Right is one of the most faithful irises -- blooms every year, no matter what and it's a glorious color that looks more burgundy than purple (or do I need new glasses).  And then Bottom Left is another Belleh Furz shot of the boy as he does his famous twisty roll to the edge of the bed.  I swear, he's gonna fall off one day.

BHU:  Don't be scared, mom.  I won't fall!

It'll be pretty funny if you do fall off. Heh heh. :-p

Here, too, it goes from winter to summer in the blink of an eye. And in our case this year, back to winter this past weekend and into this week too!

We TOO are going from summer (right now and a few weeks ago) to winter again with temps in the high 30's. You never know what you'll get.

Someone on face book stated there there are two seasons in Texas, Winter and Summer. And sometimes they alternate days in the week!

Guess the only appropriate thing to say to this is Happy Non-Spring-Late-Winter-Early-Summer.

Our dad likes to always say that spring comes on a Thursday and is gone by Friday. This spring, the temps are all over the place and it's hard to tell what season it is. The irises are gorgeous. Our mommy has lots and lots in different colors. Ooh, and what a great floofy belly. Thank you so much for your kind words about Auntie El's passing. We're sorry it's taken so long to reply but Mom is having a hard time. It's comforting to have the support of the Cat Blogosphere at this sad time.

I can't even tell you how many days in a row I've returned to my car after work needing AC to find the heat still on. At least it hasn't gone from chilly rain forest to 100+ temps overnight yet!
