Bhu in his playtime lair, tuckered out from a bit of athletics with his Poppy. I swear to you, someday I will learn how to get rid of the laser eye and you will be able to see Bhu's Blues!
Remember last summer when I told you Megan had a secret? Well, she was born Thursday: Iris Luella. Of course, I had nothing to do with it but am, nevertheless, thrilled! All my friends and relatives have boys and there's nothing wrong with that except that I like to make clothing and quilts for babies and I'm SICK AND TIRED OF BLUE! So, thank you Megan! xxoo
Maybe we get snow today. xxoo Patty

RIP, old 18-year old water heater. You done good, especially considering our hard water problem! Thanks for all your years of service and helping me keep my dishes, clothes and floors clean, not to mention all the wonderful showers and baths you made possible. Oh, clean, clean, sweet-smelling life . . . all made possible by you. Your replacement sits in the basement heating up its first 47 gallons of water right now, huffing and puffing to the task, but glad to be in its new home, ready and willing to serve and provide the squeaky clean kinda life I like. THANK you, Roger the Plumber, for coming to my house and making all this possible in just three hours! xxoo Patty
Ain't he purrity? This is "Bhu the Colorful Cat" by Ann of Zoolatry. She is so talented and so generous! Bhu sez: "Me laiks Maggy an' Zooey, too! They iz so FLOOFY!"
There are a few things that you always worry about and hope will never happen. For me, those things ALWAYS happen at 5 o'clock on Friday or two in the morning, ya know? Like, for instance, coming home after working all week and finding that your water heater has sprung a leak! Lovely: No hot water for the weekend! Sabryin and I have opted to take vacation Monday and we were planning to relax and have fun, but I guess that's not gonna happen. Now I have 48 hours to decide if I want to get a tankless water heater. If you know anything about them, pro or con, leave a comment.
Unfortunately, I have about four loads of laundry to do; fortunately, I always use cold water. Unfortunately, we got snow last night; fortunately, only a little. Unfortunately, it's very windy today; fortunately, the temperature is over 32 and the sun is shining. Unfortunately, Bhu still has fleas. xxoo Patty

As you all know, Bhu is in love with Sweet Praline but she is such a purrity kitteh that she has many boyfriends. Even so, she made this Valentine just for him and he is so happy! "Me LUVS U, Sweet P!"
Love & Hugs from Bhu, Patty and Sabryin!

When I see Susan Shie's work, my head spins and I feel faint! I am so inspired by this woman and I am hoping to be able to pull together enough cash to attend one of her art camps this year. Although, I have to say I'm a little worried about what might happen. Surely, I will be humiliatingly tongue-tied, or perhaps I will start sputtering "I'm not WORTHY," ala Wayne's World! Visit her website. It's INCREDIBLE!!
Finally, after 9 days, the gout is subsiding. There has been peripheral damage, however, in that I have twisted my back and sprained my ankle from all the contorted moving about trying to avoid pain. Some of you already know this (and I hope the rest of you never find out), but pain is exhausting. Mind you, I still have a swollen, purple joint and it is throbbing as I write, but I can walk today! I am liberated! I have done two loads of laundry and hung them up outside (although I see clouds rolling in from the north) and I've BEEN TO THE BASEMENT and I'll be going back to do a bit of ironing and to make a valentine for you-know-who. This is a good way to start the month, in a sunny room with a big floofy kitteh in a big floofy chair! Unfortunately, I am having a killer gout attack and IT HURTS!! Bhu sez "pet mai belleh mommy. Me purrz an makes U feelz better!" Well, that's true; it always works Bhu.
Today I am dreaming of tulips, hyacinths and daffodils. I've got them all planted in pots and ready to put in their spots in the window box and on the porch. My seed order is ready to submit. Bhu, do you want me to order 'nip for you?? zzzzzzzzzzzzz
