Give Piece a Pie!

When I see Susan Shie's work, my head spins and I feel faint! I am so inspired by this woman and I am hoping to be able to pull together enough cash to attend one of her art camps this year. Although, I have to say I'm a little worried about what might happen. Surely, I will be humiliatingly tongue-tied, or perhaps I will start sputtering "I'm not WORTHY," ala Wayne's World! Visit her website. It's INCREDIBLE!!

Finally, after 9 days, the gout is subsiding. There has been peripheral damage, however, in that I have twisted my back and sprained my ankle from all the contorted moving about trying to avoid pain. Some of you already know this (and I hope the rest of you never find out), but pain is exhausting. Mind you, I still have a swollen, purple joint and it is throbbing as I write, but I can walk today! I am liberated! I have done two loads of laundry and hung them up outside (although I see clouds rolling in from the north) and I've BEEN TO THE BASEMENT and I'll be going back to do a bit of ironing and to make a valentine for you-know-who. Whoa there girlfriend, sounds like you might be doing too much too soon. None of that stuff is going anywhere. I know what you mean, I can take temporary pain, but long term pain just wears you down. I hope your Dr. has given you something to get you through.

Don't push it! That's how I hurt my back last year after my foot surgery and I am still suffering from it! It doesn't help that I already have problems with my neck. Pain can really wear you down, can't it!?

That's why coming home to Sweet Praline and her purr is so wonderful! It's so relaxing.

Wonderful to hear that you're feeling better and able to do stuff. We agree with the others though, that you shouldn't push things. Pain is just horrible, we hope you're all recovered soon, soon, soon!
